Our rare, wild-crafted purple sea moss is imported fresh from the remote Caribbean island of Saint George’s, Grenada. Sea moss is a natural source of calcium, magnesium, iron, B vitamins, amino acids, and a whole host of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.

The purple sea moss is meticulously harvested and dried to maintain its color benefits. Users will notice that purple moss will have a much stronger ocean smell and taste than gold sea moss. Due to the careful process of it being harvested to maintain its color, the seawater is not rinsed off so users may notice a light coating of dried salt on the surface. This is normal as it is just dried saltwater. Absolutely nothing is added to the sea moss. 

Using Irish moss as a beverage or as a topical application will provide an excellent hydration effect in the long term. This seaweed also protects the moisture inside the cellular walls to prevent it from drying. It is rich in sodium and can give you a facelift when you apply the gel to your facial skin.

*Use the gel in smoothies, sauces, desserts, salad dressings, soups, and stews. You can also use it as a face mask and skincare product for a rich texture and boost of nutrition.

The sea moss paste can also be frozen into ice cube trays which is the most convenient way of using sea moss. When sea moss gel is completely frozen, put them in a resealable bag to prevent freezer burns.

*Dry sea moss should always be dried in a cool place, never store dry sea moss in the refrigerator. Dry sea moss has a shelf life of up to 1 year.

Instructions for making sea moss gel

Wash sea moss thoroughly with spring water to get rid of salt and sea debris. Soak sea moss in spring or alkaline water in a glass bowl overnight at room temperature. Drain and rinse sea moss with spring or alkaline water, and blend with spring or alkaline water enough to cover the sea moss. Ready to use.
